SAHM to Business Woman....
I'm a stay home mom of 3 energetic and creative children ages 13, 6, and 3. I've been a stay-at-home mom for 13 years, which I loved, but I began to crave an income of my own, adult connections outside my home and a way to utilize my creative side, yet still be home to raise my kids. And I've always wanted to own a business, I just didn't know what kind.
Every year, from early Spring through mid-fall, I would have garage sales and I just loved it! I guess I'm a people person. It's all about the "R" word for me, Relationships. Rather it is family, work or church, it's all about personal relationships. (I would love to hear from you too! Just send me an e-mail.)
I thought, "What if I could own my own business (that would meet that extra income I was looking for) that builds relationships with other people (this fulfills that adult interaction I was craving) and allows me to utilize my creativity". I searched for a business opportunity I could do at home. It had to be flexible, keep me accessible to my family and still be worth while in terms of time and money.
Note here - There is a world of difference between just working from your home (but for someone else), and Owning a work-from-home business where you work for you.
After lots of searching, I found the nicest person who later became my sponsor, my upline, Mrs. Kelly Wissink. She introduced me to a company that was a beautiful fit for me and my family. I had finally found a wonderful, no pressure, no "hype", family oriented company.
